The Lakeshore Discovery School Library is a busy place. Library helpers, chess club, student council, homework club... learning, reading, helping!
The Primary Students are participating in the Forest of Reading, Blue Spruce program. There are 10 amazing books written by talented Canadian authors that we will read over the next several weeks. Check out accessola.com/forest2008/ for more information on each book.
An intermediate book club has been organized to participate in the Forest of Reading, Red Maple program. Similar to the Blue Spruce program, the Red Maple program targets grades 7 and 8 students. Along with Mme Symchyshyn and Mme Lachine, these students will be discussing their books using a blog. Technology and reading are coming together here are Lakeshore. The amazing thing is that our students will also be able to blog with other students in Ontario, particularly from Benson and Kingsville Public.
